I just has my dog in to be neutered. My only suggestion involves the iv fluids during the procedure. This was presented to me as very important and also would be of great benefit in case of emergency. $70 ia alot of money for 250 mls of fluid. But i did it because I love my dog and want the best for him, I suggest you include this in the cost of the procedure but not $70!!!

During this particular visit it was easy to be seen as it was a sedation, but the reason I ended up coming here was for loyalty to our pet s doctor. We went to an alternate hospital because My dog had a leg injury and we couldn t get seen at Sunrise in a timely manner. Once the diagnosis was given elsewhere, we reached out to Sunrise because we wanted to keep our dog s healthcare with Dr. Ryan. We were very disappointed not to have been able to seen there for the initial injury.

We thought that Dr. Ashley (I think that was her name) was a great Vet. She made not only us comfortable, but she made the dogs much more relaxed than any previous Vet in the past. One dog is normally very reactive to certain checks and to getting shots, but she made them relax enough that it wasn t an issue. Would highly recommend her and would make a point in requesting her again in the future.

Was quite a wait, appt was 1110 didn’t get seen until 1150ish, had an appt. kitty was pretty scared of the dogs barking while waiting.

The only complaint I would have is it has been really hard to get someone on the phone. When you call to make an appointment I keep getting the answering machine and when you leave a message it takes a long time for a reply. Maybe, it’s just because of holidays this time of year because I haven’t had this problem before.

You should start a fund raiser for people whom can not afford care for there dogs that need it . In Halifax the clinic has a nail cutting day for dogs and cats with a donation that goes towards this fund .

Would be helpful if the reps on the desk acknowledged your presence as you’re standing there, even to say I’ll be with you in just a second, just finishing up xyz than standing there without any acknowledgment of your presence until you finally say excuse me.

I had come in earlier with a sample of the dogs poop hoping it could be tested before I saw the Dr. They said this couldn t be done till I saw a Dr. Had the poop been tested before hand it would have saved time on waiting for the results, plus less stress on me due to not having to wait so long for results.

Re:Friday as a surgery day: the down side is that with no vets working on the two days after surgery, we would have to go to the Emergency Vet Clinic if there was a post-surgery problem. We would choose a different day for surgery in order to have a vet from this clinic, if needed.

I requested knocks be cut off under my dogs ear. First attempt I did not feel any had been cut off. Kindly they took my pooch and tried again, only to remove 1/3 that were all next to each other. Really appreciate the effort but hopefully next time more care will be taken for full results. It makes me wonder a little if his other care is received that I pay for is fully received.
