I am very disappointed in my recent visit. This is the 3rd strike as two prior visits were unsatisfactory as well. On this visit, I was charged for a vaccination exam, however, the vet did not listen to my dogs heart or lungs, did not look at her ears or ears, or perform any other basic health exam prior to giving the vaccine. This was even after I told the vet that my dog had a prior history of severe allergic reactions to vaccines. The vet was very condescending and was borderline disrespectful to me as well as the other vets who practiced at the same facility. I told the vet several times that my dog was taking Carprofen to manage arthritic pain. He told me to stop using the Carprofen as of that day and start using Prednisone the same day. When I was at the front desk checking out, I told the vet tech that I had about 2 weeks left of the Carprofen. I asked her if I should just finish using the Carprofen while giving the Prednisone too. She enthusiastically said yes. Neither the vet nor the vet tech warned me of the very serious consequences of giving a dog a NSAID and a Steroid at the same time. Neither of them recommended a wash-out period between giving the NSAID and the Steroid. Luckily, I texted my friend who is a vet practicing in Florida to tell her about my dog s change in medication. She very quickly told me about the dangers in what your veterinary clinic advised me to do. I have decided not to give my dog the Prednisone for the timing being to keep her safe, but if I would have given the drugs concurrently I am almost positive the results would have been deadly.

I didn’t feel as though he listened to what I said I know my dog and when he isn’t acting normal. I think he just wanted me to leave so he said he had something wrong with his anal gland just to satisfy me. I didn’t see any biproducts of his squeezing and was not happy with this dr at all. Next time I will request to see someone I am familiar with.

Absolutely loved Central Ky Vet Center!!! Best vets around my area, and they tell you everything you need to know. They don’t just come in give shots and say dogs good and walk out. They spend time with your dog and you and explain everything in detail!!

Have been going to CKVet since 1990. This was the worst experience to date. Girls at front desk were rude and had attitude when I asked questions. Didn’t answer the specific questions I had with our bill... I got so frustrated I decided to let my husband handle it later. Had a state form filled out... was filled out incorrectly. When we realized it and called , they gave me attitude and told me I could cross out/ change it on my form?? I had 2 of our fur babies cremated with you. Never got a call that they were ready, when I checked I was told someone would call me ( never did). They were in your office for 2 month!Was told I would get foot prints ... did not. VERY upset. This experience has left such a bad impression that we are seriously thinking of changing vets.

Arrived 7!minutes prior to Office opening and my appointment time. Staff saw me waiting under the porch in a thunderstorm. They did not immediately let me in the door. Not customer friendly when they did open the door. The tech was great once in an exam room.

I have been going here for many years. The staff is always great. The doctors genuinely care about my pets. Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for my pets care

Dr weakley was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Very satisfied with my dogs care.

No billing procedures were discussed with me. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Clean facilities. My pet enjoys going there!

I would like my pet to see the same vet each time like my past pets did.guess i am old fashion like one person to talk to about my pet.

I felt Dr Weakley really took the time to understand what issues my dog (Sophie) is having, and really cares about taking care of her.

I never made an appointment nor confirmed an appointment. The system shouldn’t automatically create an appointment for you.

I brought my dog in for a vet to look at a cyst. Upon exam it was determined that the cyst needed to be removed. The vet recommended that I leave the dog for surgery and that I would be called later in the day to pick her up. I drove home, swept out my garage, and as soon as I entered the house I got a phone call saying my dog was ready to be picked up! As I live about 6 miles away from Central Vet, it would have been most helpful to have a more precise time on the surgical procedure, as I would have stayed and read a chapter in my book, avoiding an extra round trip. When I returned, I wasn t certain of the procedure. A receptionist (new to me) saw me waiting behind another client. and she very snippily told me I had to sign in. I didn t know I needed to do this, as I had signed in about an hour earlier. I recommend having a little in-service with staff on creating a positive atmosphere for every client every time insofar as possible. I love the vets and our animals have always received excellent care at Central.

We love taking our yorkies here. The visits are expensive, but we feel the get well taken care of.

I think we may have just come in on a super busy day which required us to wait longer than usual. Overall, it was a great experience. I can t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Tritsh and his staff!
