Cost for a blood test $145 which is expensive; my dog was only in the examination/treatment room less than 10 minutes.

After being given bad news about your pets health, It’s very difficult to sit in the waiting room waiting for staff to prepare your invoice etc. Perhaps a different method of payment procedure could be devised for those patients/clients who are in distress and/or mourning a terminal diagnosis or death of their dearly loved pet.

The clinic has been understaffed for months now leading to the cancelling of appointments in some situations eg During Easter there was one vet on for that week. An appt I had was cancelled during that time due to an emergency. In addition, the clinic has had to change its hours. They close early on Fridays evenings and no longer provide appointments on Saturday. On another note, I am hopeful that Sunrise AH will resume emergency after hours care for their clients. I prefer to have my dogs seen by their own vet during critical situations. The VSC fees for service are well beyond any vet fees being charged in the city or even the province and it is placing a terrible burden on pet owners who have no options in these critical situations. I am hopeful that the new owners of Sunrise will listen to the clients and their desire to have emergency care provided by Sunrise vets. I haven t had the appointment yet. The website must have been set for Eastern time because when it sent the appointment to my Google calendar it was off by an hour and a half. I missed the appointment and it was rescheduled. I hope this is fixed because I was really impressed with the idea of it automatically updating my calendar

Inconvenient that I couldn’t see my regular vet, which is 1 min from my home for a 5 min checkup after over a weeks notice. Going to Torbay road clinic was very out my way. I didn’t receive a print out of my charges only the debit receipt, it should have just been given to me. The staff and doc was friendly and I was given good information.

I always find the service by front desk and vets great. In terms of getting appointment, I requested an evening appointment as we work all day. It took 10 days to get an evening appointment which I thought was excessive, especially since I suspected my dog was in pain from a jump she made. A few days before her appointment, we did receive a call due to a cancellation but it was for a mid day appointment which we could not attend due to work and we work out of town. Dr. Wilson was informative and genuine and the staff were friendly.
