I have been to Sunnycrest only twice so far, both within a 2 week window. The first time, we had to wait 2 hours to be seen. The second time we waited 45 minutes. These are both with scheduled appointments. The care our dogs received was fine, but the waste of time was a big turnoff to returning.

I absolutely love the staff here, they are considerate and inclusive with me, my kids, and my pups. Only complaint is the pricing. After revealing the cost for services we had done recently, I was told we were heavily over charged. I overlooked the high pricing in the past due to the staff being very kind and easy to work with. But one of my dogs had to have two follow up appointments recently and we were charged full vet visit pricing on top of all other testing/meds - I understand paying for the testing and meds but to be asked back for a follow up and charged $52 each time is what I m referring to, and was told that they would ‘likely’ waive or discount these visits as we are being asked to return. Her most recent follow up was just for the booster shot and I was charged for a full vet exam. It seems we may need to try another site to compare pricing. Again, staff and cleanliness of the office is great.

I had a scheduled appointment at 11:45 and I was sitting in the waiting area for 42 minutes. I probably would have waited longer if I didn t say anything to one of the technicians. Then I waited for a doctor for another 10 minutes, almost an hour of waiting. This wasn t the first time I waited for a scheduled appointment. Please improve the waiting time if it s a scheduled appointment. Thanks

I love this facility. The only problem I have is that even though I made an appointment, it was still 1.5 hours after arriving 15 minutes prior to my appointment. I work full time and I don’t always have that much time to wait especially when I had an appointment. Cathy

Had to double park again along with several others, which creates quite a dangerous situation. My simple appt for routine cyst drainage was 2 hours long and included a doctor visit, which added labs, etc. I feel like the communication is still in need of attention, however, the veterinarians are always attentive and caring. My elderly parents are having a very difficult time staying with this practice simply because of the parking situation. Good luck!!

We like your pet hospital but unfortunately we had to reschedule our first appointment because the wait was too long and stressful for our cat. I wish that you had separate waiting area for cats and dogs, and I wish that you did not overbook.

I know that offices can get busy and I try to be patient but i waited an hour for an appointment that took about two min (for a vaccination). The two appointments prior to that were also delayed from 30-50 min. Maybe scheduling appointments that are closer to the time that they will actually occur and not double book. I think that it is completely acceptable to wait for an appointment now and then but not every time you have an appointment booked. Once I had an appointment for grooming (i know the office and grooming may be separate) and was 15 min late....my appointment, I called letting them know I was in the parking lot but because I was late my appointment was canceled.

I recently moved into the area and was looking for a new vet for pup. This is my second time at your facility. I am happy thus far but I have noticed each time I was seen 30-45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I didn t think much about it until I overhead two customers in the lobby chatting about how much they love Sunnycrest except the long wait times. I am hoping this is something that can be taken into consideration when booking appointments in the future. Thank you

My appointment was at 10 am for annual checkup. I arrived early but was not called into an exam room until 10:45am. I had to wait further for a vet to arrive in the exam room. My appointment ended at 11:30. It was so time consuming, and stressful for my dog to wait so long only to see the doctor for 5-10 minutes, and wait for vaccinations. It was exhausting. The time I had to wait for an appointment was unreasonable. This is a common occurrence at your clinic. You need to stop overbooking your appointments.

Jim always feels so loved when we come in. They know he hates having his temp taken and are very sensitive to stressing him out. We are so glad we have you all!

One thing that I have not noticed in the past is it felt like a bit of a sales pitch for me to get an antibiotic prescription and also a heartworm test that I clearly did not need. When I declined the antibiotic the vet prescribed a topical spray, which I also declined -- the issue was my dog has been very itchy so we made an appointment to get a cytopoint shot -- the vet noted a healed scratch on the arm and said it was infected but it was clearly healed. My dog was showing zero signs of infection and antibiotics should definitely not be overprescribed so this mystified me a bit. The entire interaction was pleasant and I was not in any way coerced to take something I did not want, but it concerned me nonetheless and the explanation was not sufficient. When I pointed out that the scratch was clearly healed the vet said well to be cautious let s prescribe this topical spray, but the scratch was not raw and was clearly healed! Also, my dog is on a flea medication that also protects against heartworm - I was asked to sign a waiver that I declined the heartworm test, which I did, but this seemed meant to make me feel somehow irresponsible. The vet tech was almost apologetic. I want to emphasize that both the tech and vet were awesome - super friendly and professional and great with my dog, but this movement toward offering things I clearly did not need was concerning.
