there should be payment plans set in place. and it should be a little cheaper per a visit for family on a fixed in come just trying to take care of there animals.

I was so stressed about the cost and how I was going to be able to get my lil guy (bearded dragon) taken care of. All Creatures put my stress to rest w/ their extremely reasonable prices and the excellent care they showed toward us. I am so glad I found them. I also was happy they were able to get us in and seen within an 1 1/2 of me calling.

The first appointment for Zoey was executed fine. I will, however, comment on the prescription that we received. Our dog, Zoey, had been having seizures. We were seen on Tuesday, relatively quickly. My husband was given a bottle with Phenobarbital 60 mg tablets to be given twice a day. A few days after initiating treatment, Zoey was extremely lethargic and was having trouble walking straight. I am a pharmacist but am very aware that animal dosing is different than human dosing, but I felt something wasn t right. Finally, I decided to investigate the dosing myself. I called Saturday morning around 9 AM expressing my concern that the dose was much too high for my 13 pound beagle/terrier mix. I was told that a note was written to the veterinarian and he/she would have to call me back. At 1 PM, I called again knowing that the office closed at 3 PM. I was then told to bring Zoey in as soon as possible. Once my husband arrived, he was told that it may be two hours to be seen (understandable as other emergencies were happening) and if they were seen after 3 PM that we would be charged as an emergency appointment. I had called at 9 AM... and he was only there due to my initiative to get her looked at. Once investigated, my dog was given the dose for an 80 pound dog instead of 15 mg twice a day that was intended for her . I understand that mistakes happen. These happen in my profession, also. I am more frustrated that I felt that I was being brushed off when I called numerous times about my concern. The office was very busy on this Saturday, but that should not mean that smaller mistakes aren t handled appropriately. I hope that this mistake is investigated and that it does not happen to anyone else. The situation could have been much much worse, especially if not investigated properly.

Everyone on staff, from Dr. Olson, the techs, and Liz at the front desk have always been very helpful, personable, professional, caring, and exceptionally good at what they do. I m glad I switched from the vet I used to go to and I will spread the word about All Creatures.

I understand not all doctors are the same, but the one we saw spent very little time with our dog. She felt around and said she was overweight and that her teeth needed cleaning. But other doctors got on the floor and really examined her. If this was a true physical, something was lacking.

I was very satisfied with the care I was given from the Vet Tech to the Dr. I will now use you re practice as my primary care for both of my bunnies. I am so happy to say both of my bunnies are acting like the normal sweet little psychos they are. Thank you so much.

I have been bringing my pet to All Creatures in Amelia for the past 6 years and have, overall, had pleasant experiences. This visit, however, was very frustrating to me. My pet was having back and neck pain, which led me to contact the on call physician the night prior to my visit. I was told what to do overnight and to bring my pet in the following morning versus taking my pet to a veterinary ER. When I called the office upon its opening the next morning, I was told to bring my pet in. We were prioritized as a “walk in” even though my pet was in pain. We sat in the waiting room for approximately one hour, where my dog paced, could not get comfortable, and had been in distress. Once taken back to an exam room, the vet technician was very helpful and kind. I was frustrated and left with questions after seeing the provider, however. Their explanations were unclear and I was unsure of the options for my pet. I even felt questioned after providing feedback on what had been beneficial to my pet in the past, related to similar injuries and illnesses. In the end, I feel my thoughts were heard, but felt unclear about the mediation regimen prescribed. I asked clarifying questions to the vet technician, who was helpful, and even contacted the office the next day to again ask follow up questions. I felt rushed by the provider when attempting to discuss options for my pet. Overall, I am grateful my pet received care, but found myself aggravated at the wait time, the lack of time the provider assessed my pet and time allotted for me to ask questions, and the unclear instructions of both options for this injury and medication regimen.

I do realize that I had a new vetassistant but when suggestion the payment plan she did not have enough knowledge nor did she have the correct answers. I feel she needed a little more training on these issues. And she did seem a bit intemated by a big dog

After taking blood for a heat worm test, the staff lost the vial of blood. They searched for it for more than 20 minutes, while I waited and waited. They told me that they finally found it laying on the counter. I also waited in the lobby for about 30 minutes prior to be called back to the exam room.

My appointment was with Michael the trainer. Everything went exceptionally well. I have a Caucasian Ovcharka and he can be a handful to say the least. I maybe doing some traveling and Will need to board him. I wanted to make sure Michael was familiar with the breed and discuss his temperment. Michael, is very knowledgeable and read up on Caucasians before i got there. I think we were on the same page where Bane is concerned. We are going to meet again and I think in would be comfortable leaving Bane there.
