dr mittal is an asset to your practice. we have been bringing our sickly dog to her for about 10 years and have just scheduled a third surgery for her. Dr Mittal is compassionate and understanding of our concerns regarding the surgery and has gone above and beyond in her discussions with us.

We assume that the facility is still as clean as it was prior to pandemic, but since we are not allowed inside we have to assume it is clean. I don t think Dr. Halpern would have it any other way. BTW, Dr. Halpern is the greatest!

It s very difficult hearing the doctor standing outside. Noise of passing trains and road traffic. After seeing doctor it will be nice to have the bill and meds ready instead of waiting and have to remind staff of still waiting especially with other animals around.

This is the first time in over 5 years I’ve had an issue with the communication amongst the staff and myself. I called to make an appointment for my dog and asked the nurse to add notes fir the doctor to review regarding some medication I was inquiring about. Once I revived the bill and my dogs over view I didn’t see the medication nor was I communicated why. I called the vet back and asked what the doctor had said about the medication and the lady replied I’m sorry there was. I notes on the file, this had me waiting another 20 minutes to get reviewed by the doctor. Then I had a second appointment in the week for my dogs bath. When I received the email confirmation it said my dogs app was for surgery to be spayed. I called immidiately to inquire about the email I received when the lady at the front desk confirmed that my dog was scheduled for surgery. My dog had already gone through surgery to be spayed. The lady apologized and canceled my app time and stated that the vet was conducting any baths. I understand our current circumstances however I am so bummed out over this situation where I had to clarify two mistakes in one week. This was by far the most unpleasant circumstance I’ve encountered here at lefferts animal hospital

I have been going to Lefferts Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Ann Marie, Kathy & Dr. Valdez have always gone above & beyond for me and my pet family. I no longer live in the area and I make the commute several times a year to my Bulldog & Bullmastiff at Lefferts. I completely trust Dr. Valdez and value his expertise & sincere approach and opinion’s. He truly has a love for what he does and unconditional love for his pet patients. Kathy always follows up when I need a call back or immediate attention. With so many patients they treat they always make your pet a priority. The front desk staff is extremely kind and always ask if “it’s an emergency or can they place u on hold” we are all busy and overwhelmed In our lives but at Lefferts they take the time to make you feel like you are their top priority! I will forever stay loyal and continue to make the trips no matter how far because I know my pets are in the BEST hands!
