We had a great experience with Dr Mitchell last Saturday. Kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Also my senior dog has been anxious and barking all night she prescribed medicine and I have a different dog now she is less anxious and she’s sleeping all night which means I’m sleeping all night!! Thank you

Our dog was groomed for the first time at this facility. This was the worst grooming job I had ever seen. After multiple calls, requests for us to send photos of what the dog should look like and promises of our money back, we finally got a call from the person who groomed the dog. She stated if we brought our dog in she would fix her. I don’t know about you but if I complain about a groomer who did a horrible job why would I want her to touch my dog, let alone leave my dog with her for several hours. Poor customer service all around.

I would have appreciated it if the doctor told me the cost of the vaccine she suggested before giving it. I also would have liked to know that there was a cost for my pet’s stool to be tested before I arrived.

I feel very fortunate to be a client of Dr. Anthony. Dr. Anthony has been caring for my dog since he was 4 weeks old. My dog can sense his compassion and is never afraid or anxious. I personally think Dr. Anthony is the best there is and am very grateful. The staff is always professional and kind and through the years have become my friends. Thank you.

Why the extremely long wait to see the vet? I was told I was the next to be seen by vet and it still took an hour. Plus long wait time to get meds then another long wait time to get paperwork. Does it really take 2-3 hours?

First time I have been disappointed with a Windcrest branch experience. I do not plan to return to Hockessin. Service was rushed, doctor-client interaction bordered on being rude, and interaction with my pet seemed rough in comparison to visits at other branches.

I am so disappointed. I sent an email immediately upon returning home from my appointment with NO regard to my issues. AND to top it off, I receive an email yesterday saying my 2 precious angels are overdue for their heartworm medicines which they received on Monday. I mean, who is sending this stuff? Sadly I am looking at options/centers for other veterinary services. Here is the email I sent on Monday........... Hello. I moved from Windcrest on Lancaster to follow Dr. Anthony in Hockessin, DE. I have a rescue and she has come such a long way thanks to his care. However, the sub-staff was not so pleasant upon my leaving. My appointment for both (2) of my angels, Cassie & Freckles was at 9:00am & 9:30am. Dr. Anthony visited both my girls at 9:05am and was completed by 9:18am (only one shot was required so a good body scan was all that was necessary). A few minutes later 2 technicians, Ian & Tara on duty came in to clip Cassie s nails. They were finished by 9:25. I was asked to wait 5 minutes for a heart waiver to sign and to get their heartworm mediation. Sadly, my receipt of first payment decline was at 9:39am. Of course I had another form of payment but am inquiring the length of time it takes to get a piece of paper and medicine? After waiting ten (10) minutes with my car running and my dogs inside I peeked my head through the door to see what was waiting so long. Dr. Anthony apologized for no one being at the desk. Then Ian came out to have my services charged and my payment was declined. Again, I did another form of payment but Tara came out and plopped the bag of heart worm on the counter and said this needs to be signed (heart waiver). I didn t say a word. With my normal appointments, someone checks us out and then medicine follows. The waiver paperwork is normally IN the exam room for me to sign prior to any exam at all. Jenn, Amy & Melissa have all been very kind. I don t want to switch back to the closer veterinary care of Windcrest but even my Mom who was with me today agreed the technician could have been more uplifting and/or personable. We are sorry, but today, Hockessin gets a D on customer service but, as per usual, an A+ on veterinary service. Helene Kennedy 302-290-2719
