Curbside pickup is a great idea but it’s very difficult to get through to let the office know I am outside. I usually wait 10-15 minutes.

Waiting time not convenient but I was alerted up front and so it was ok. I appreciated the updates on how close it was till we would be seen and the accommodations to keep my kitten with me.

Curbside was seamless. I appreciate the time they spent looking at my pet and explaining their findings with me.

Our technician and vet were great. However, they gave us a shorter waiting time than the reality. I understand that we are not the only customers, but we were waiting in our car for two hours and would have appreciated a time estimate or the opportunity to go home and come back, considering it was after midnight when we got home. My biggest area of feedback would be June. She was not the tech but was the one who picked up the phone when we asked for an update. She got aggressive and had a bad attitude when we explained we just wanted to know if we had enough time to leave and find a bathroom to use and she said we can go to a wawa and that the vet said it would be 30-40 minutes. She had an attitude change when I finally got a word in and told her it had been an hour we waited and we are not trying to be a bother. She might want to have more compassion working in an emergency pet hospital. She also had to make another snarky and unprofessional comment when I asked if paying by card on the phone would be accepted and said “yep that’s how we are going to do it.” Honestly, that’s not good customer service as she is on the frontline of first impressions. Like I mentioned, my vet and tech were great, but I don’t think I will be revisiting. Also, pricing for services was outrageous.

I was apprehensive about taking my newly adopted dog. When the tech came out to get her out of the car my mind was easily put to ease. The tech was so sweet, loving, and patient with my extremely nervous pup. Once they entered the building my girl laid down on the floor, refusing to move. The tech got on the floor with her and began petting her and talking to her. The vet and tech both called me to let me know what was noticed during the visit. They thoroughly explained all medications and what possible side effects were. Before administering any medications and tests, they called to explain the reasoning for it and all costs associated with it. I didn t feel like my girl was a number to them. I felt that she was an extension of their family. I highly recommend them to everyone and anyone who is in search of a vet!

We love Dr. Anthony and the team at Hockessin. They take such good care of our fur babies. We always hear horror stories from our fellow dog owners about vet visits, but our dogs are always so happy to go to see Dr. Anthony. It s why we continue to drive 45 minutes each way to see y all. I was hesitant about the level of care my dog would receive without me being in the exam room with him, but the staff took excellent care of him, answered all of my questions, and gave me a thorough report of his visit and care plan going forward! They couldn t have been better!! The only negative is that even though it s on his chart and the info sheet I provided at the visit that he has a severe allergy to chicken, the care plan suggested feeding him boiled chicken , and when the Vet Tech came to my car with my dog, she offered me samples of a chicken-based diet; both of which would have made my dog s condition life-threatening. The Vet Tech was very apologetic.

In case it doesn t show up I picked all EXCELLENT ratings. Don t stop how you deal with people and their pets, you are amazing!

Considering we are in a pandemic, I think the staff and doctors worked very well to be able to see my cats and to conduct their annual physicals, and to communicate with me just as well as if I were in the room with them.

We’ve been clients for years, and the service is always fantastic! A huge thank you to the staff for always being so kind and knowledgeable!!

Chase was there for grooming. Gina is the best! Chase gets so excited when he sees her. His tail wags so fast. I’m sure that’s because of the way she takes care of him.
