Overall, my experience was fairly positive. However, some of the commentary made by Dr. Smith did not sit well with me. While being examined, my senior dog experienced a lot of anxiety. When Dr. Smith inserted a rectal thermometer, my dog winced. Dr. Smith said my dog was being a drama queen which I did not appreciate or find funny. It felt hurtful to me in the moment and seemed unnecessary and inappropriate to say. I was doing my best to comfort my dog throughout the exam process. The Vet Tech, Kelli, was also in the room during the exam. She was very professional during my visit. At the end of the day, my dog was seen, my concerns were addressed, and we left with a treatment plan for her pancreatitis. Goal achieved.

Dr. Laurie Huckle, was Exceptionally attentive to our needs.. She was Extremelly through with Kady s examination.. I so wish we did not live 5 hours away, we would diffently come back on a Regualar basis..Thank you for getting Kady in on such short notice.. You are a Blessing to have in North Dakota!! My cat, Frosty, had a huge surgery - tumor removed from her neck. Unfortunately, she has developed breathing problems and has wheezing in her lungs. We are treating her via our local vet with prednisone and hoping this will allow her better breathing as she recovers. We are also needing to force feed as she is depressed and has no appetite. Surgery went well, recovery isn t going so well.

Had a hard time making the appointment. Called 5-8 times, left my name and number, but never got a call back. Eventually, I came in person to set up the appointment. The receptionist was very nice, apologized that I never receieved a call back, and made an appointment for me. My appointment went very well and I m glad I came in person to make an appointment (because I really only wanted this place for my pet). However, I could see other people not going out of their way to come in and make an appointment. Thank you.

The entire process of waiting for MONTHS to get scheduled, the miscommunication on intake and pickup, and the utter FAILURE to do ANY sort of communication or follow-up after having an ultrasound and lab work have made me rethink whether casselton vet has my dog s best interest at heart. I spend THOUSANDS of dollars on my pet s daycare, grooming and medical services with you. And I cant even count on so much as a PHONE CALL after a procedure is astounding! It has been THIRTEEN DAYS and I m STILL waiting despite ME having called YOU twice requesting results. Call me to discuss!

Dr. Huckle and her technician, Michelle, were very professional and attentive to my dog and her needs. A couple of impromptu visits from other staff was so very welcome, and as always, I will continue to patronize CVS and recommend them to anyone needing a veterinarian! Yeah C mon!!

Every time I have contact with casselton vet they blow me away with their helpfulness. If they don t know the answer to my question they find someone that does. If I need to come in they find me a time. The folks that work down there are great.

The receptionist we had took anywhere from 20-30 minutes to check us out after our appointment Saturday. I am not sure why it took so long, I had everything ready that I wanted to buy but she kept running to the back to check on random things (which I had not seen the invoice so I wasn t sure what she was questioning). The receptionist next to her checked in people and checked people out atleast 3-4 people while I stood at the counter this entire time waiting to pay and leave. Just wanted to relay this feedback as it wasn t necessary and I have no idea why it took that long. Overall very happy with the rest of the appointment and staff. Thank you,

I have to say I was throughly impressed with VET Hannah Smith -SHE spent the amount of time with myself and my beloved pup that was impressive . Her knowledge And explaination and suggestions were impeccable . I will be asking to see her moving forward for all of my vet needs . Not only was she knowledgeable She was empathetic and non judgmental and excellent with my PET She kept Things light with confident and reliable explanations ….which is refreshing. That is Integrity to its highest form . Thank u Hannah for your kind words - ur expertise shows !

I would appreciate when I ask a question, that the doctor doesn’t just say “it’s the law”. I asked for the law to be provided to me, read it, and discovered that “it’s the law” is implausible. More patients should be asking questions instead of accepting every word the doctors say IMO…

Dr Peterson was very thorough in his explanations and options for treatment/ ongoing care. He also is very realistic that not everything works for everyone and he is there to provide options but ultimately the decision on how to best manage care was up to me. I felt no judgements when trying to figure out what will work best for my particular situation. His tech was also very helpful answering questions. She was also very efficient and kept things moving along smoothly without making me feel rushed.

The only thing I think could be improved upon is some sort of ventilation in the rooms. It became hot and stuffy feeling pretty quickly, and I believe that added to the marginal stress my dog was experiencing. He overheated and I imagine that could be something others have experienced as well

Our appointment was at 2:00 and we didn’t get in u til nearly 3:00. He took my trailer mates first, then he took an entirely different client! Then he got called away on an emergency and who I assume was a vet tech finally got to my horse. Bent a needle but got the job done. I’m happy enough with the service but was disappointed that the vet never actually even spoke to me and that we had to wait so long. We drove an hour to get there and an hour back. I know there are, at times, extreme circumstances that have to take priority, and I’m ok with that, but someone could have told me, and I should’ve been taken before the other client. I think it was a breeding client, and I imagine they are more lucrative business than just vaccinations and Coggins, but that doesn’t really help!
