While it took a considerable amount of time to get a call back in order to set up an appointment with Dr Boas, it is understood she is the behavior expert and is busy. The wait was worth it because she took a lot of time to get to know our situation and hopefully has tailored a treatment plan that will, over time, solve our problems.

When I came in I asked for something specific, My dog quit eating dry food, but said her apatite was still good and would eat wet. Dr. Moen, wanted to do a lot of testing to see why she was not eating and did not seem to understand what I was asking. I appreciate my dog is old and can be more underlying disease and possible things going on but at this time her apatite was good she just did not like dry food but would eat wet food. I wanted to see about switching her to Wet food. She continued to push to do a lot more testing. I was not prepared to deal with all of the results at that time and it was overwhelming that night. I do know she meant well but wish she would have slowed down to listen what I wanted I have worked with Livestock all my life and understand animal husbandry and will give my dog excellent care. If she has a critical dieses we need to deal with I will do everything in my ability to make sure she is comfortable. She means everything to me and my Family. Thanks for allowing me to share I feel she is a good Vet just needs to listen to be sure what the family wants for their animal. Thanks

When I first started using this place getting an animal in to be seen on short notice was very easy they always seemed to make time. Costs were reasonable. Now with even more vets it takes 3-4 weeks to get an appointment and the costs are getting ridiculous. Seriously thinking about finding another vet service.

Loved how attentive to detail they were throughout the whole process. From scheduling and sending me information, to the follow up and intra op check in I received by Dr Bjerke. I was told I needed a visit before they would prescribe calming meds for Foxy to get her nails trimmed. When I got there, I was told they don t like to prescribe meds and I was given some behavioral things to try. I explained I d done many different things. I would ve appreciated being told when I called that they d rather me try other things and I could ve saved a visit. I m all for alternative methods - my other dogs have had chiro and accu out there - but honestly, just tell me that up front.

One minor quibble, the jump drive with the CT images we got had the file/images in a format that our clinic (All Creatures Veterinary in Perham, MN) was unable to open. Haven t been able to get the info from them what format they can read, but possibly including multiple formats off the bat would be convenient.

I have Dr. Ulmer for the vet for my dog. She also took care of my other two dogs. She does an excellent job taking care of the dogs. My little Lenni suffered from diabetes and Dr. Ulmer was always there whenever I had any questions with Lenni. After Lenni suffered with this disease for so many years he passed away peacefully, I was surprised that Dr. Ulmer called me to tell how sorry she was to hear of Lenni s passing. I have never had a vet call with condolences. I would recommend Dr. Ulmer and Casselton Vet to anyone that is looking for a good place to take their pet. Also, I love the fact that they have an urgent care. I have used the urgent care when my dogs unexpectently got sick or hurt.

I ve been bringing my cats to Casselton vet for 32 years. The service seems to have gone downhill. I brought 2 of my 3 cats in for vaccines, one of which was leukemia. The older cat needed all of his vaccines. The younger cat only needed leukemia. I was told once we were in the room that there was a shortage of the leukemia vaccine and if I was OK they would skip it. They also asked if the cats were strictly indoor, which they are and I was then told that my cats don t even need the leukemia vaccine. I brought the youngest cat in for no reason then. By that evening, the youngest cat had very watery eyes, which progressed into a yellowish-green discharge in both eyes and therefore ended up with me calling in and having to wait 6 days before I could get him in and was then charged another $138 for them to tell me he has conjunctivitis, which I m assuming he picked up from being there on the 11th.

Can we please get Jackson’s meds on 90 day refills. His gabapentin was a 90 script. Today I tried refilling it and it went down to a 30 day refill. 30 days is $27 and 90 days is $44 at Skripts in Costco. I was at the pharmacy today and called Casselton Fargo and spent 17 minutes on hold before I gave up. We spend like $500 a month on Jackson’s care and saving $40 on med refills is significant for us. I know it’s a crazy world and it’s hard to have enough trained employees and it seems there aren’t enough vet clinics. We think you guys are awesome! We’re just so frustrated to get to the pharmacy and we can’t save money because it’s changed to a 30 day script. I’m guessing that’s standard? Jackson’s condition is chronic. Please send Skripts Pharmacy notice that Jackson can have a 90 day supply of Gabapentin and Rimadyl. Can you please let us know you did this or tell me why you can’t? There was a bit of a misunderstanding about when I could take my pet home. When I booked my appointment and again when I checked my pet in, I was told I could take her home same day as her procedure. When the surgery was done I was told by the tech that I could not take my pet home due to the type of procedure. This completely made sense once explained however because I came from Canada (and had a lengthy trip) I had to make special arrangements to be away yet another night. This cost me extra money for a hotel, food as well as missed wages because I couldn’t get back in time. Once again, the tech was informative about why and I agreed with her, I just wish the admin staff had informed me correctly so I could’ve made the appropriate arrangements beforehand. Otherwise everyone I spoke with was extremely helpful, informative and empathetic. I would recommend you to my American friends.
